Growing up in my family’s hotel instilled a natural affinity with food and people, and working the spotlight on the hotel's cabaret shows gave me an appreciation for the drama of lighting.  Naturally enough, before picking up a camera, I  trained as chef and worked in hotel management – my hospitality knowledge has proven to be a great career asset in many ways. 

These days, with a BA in photography, a fine art post grad, and two decades of  experience shooting both photography and video, I'm still passionate about creating compelling imagery and collaborating to produce great results.

I've  travelled the world on commissions for book publishers, designers, and advertising agencies, and more recently, returned to my roots creating content for hotels. True to my hospo beginnings, I realise that collaborating with a team and having a positive outlook are the basis of successful outcomes – wherever I find myself working.

I've won a number of awards over the years, the most recent being a Silver Award in the Professional Category at both the 2021 and 2023 International Photography Awards.
